Shaun Turton is an Australian journalist most recently based in Cambodia, where he covers business, politics and Chinese investment for Nikkei Asia. His recent series on the enslavement of tens of thousands of people by online scam gangs in Cambodia received accolades in prestigious US and UK award competitions. The series formed the basis for a documentary for Al Jazeera 101 East which he helped produce. A journalist for more than a decade, Shaun has previously reported in Australia, the United Kingdom, Romania and Hong Kong.
