Silvia Popp is a researcher at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) as a member of the Global Issues Division since 2012. Her focus is on demographic changes in developing economies, e.g. social and economic issues in high fertility countries and countries with young age structures. Her dissertation at the Humboldt University of Berlin deals with reform options of the old age income security system in India, with a focus on fighting old-age poverty.
