Pavel Kanevskiy is an associate professor of political science and vice dean at the Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) Faculty of Sociology. Pavel Kanevskiy is a member and chair of the Younger Generation Leaders Network on Euro-Atlantic Security (YGLN). He is an expert at the Russian International Affairs Council and 2016-17 he was an EASI Hurford Next Generation Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He holds a doctorate in political science from MSU (2009). He was a member of various working groups at MSU, MGIMO, Russian Academy of Sciences, RIAC. He’s an author of more than 30 scientific articles, monographs and policy papers on Russian politics and society, EU-Russia relations, interest groups and lobbying, political elites.

Areas of focus: democracy and democratization; politics and society in Russia and Europe; European Union – Russia relations; comparative politics.
