Manfred Hornung
Head of the Southeast Asia office

Manfred Hornung has been the head of the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Southeast Asia office in Bangkok since September 2014. Prior to his present position, he was responsible for the foundation’s office in Cambodia for around two years.

Hornung has been working in the region for several years, and his activities have included the training of judges and public prosecutors in Laos at the national court in Vientiane as part of a United Nations project.

In Cambodia, he worked for the United Nations Commission on Human Rights and the Cambodian non-governmental organization LICADHO. Regional labor migration, human trafficking, land rights issues and judicial reform have been other focal points of his work.
